Rodney A. Young
Director and Chief Executive Officer

Rodney A. Young has over 25 years in the medical device, disposable medical supplies and pharmaceutical fields.  Prior to joining Angeion Corporation as Executive Vice President in July 2004, Mr. Young served as a consultant to healthcare organizations since July 2003.  Prior to consulting, for seven years he served as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of LecTec Corporation, a Minneapolis, Minnesota-based, publicly-held developer, manufacturer and marketer of medical devices and direct to the consumer over-the-counter pharmaceutical products.  On November 1, 2004, he was appointed as the President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of Angeion Corporation.  Prior to LecTec Corporation, Mr. Young served Baxter International, Inc. for five years in various management roles, most recently as Vice President and General Manager of the Specialized Distribution Division.  Prior to Baxter, Mr. Young held several positions within 3M Company’s Medical Product Division in sales, marketing and corporate business management.  Mr. Young started his career with The Upjohn Pharmaceutical Company.  Mr. Young also serves as a director of Health Fitness Corporation as well as not-for-profit Delta Dental Plan of Minnesota and Allina Health Systems.  Mr. Young earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Truman University in Kirksville, Missouri and attended Lewis University, Joliet, Illinois for graduate business studies.
