Platinum Elite™ Series Plethysmograph for Pulmonary Function Testing
SAINT PAUL, Minnesota. (March 17, 2008) ─ Angeion Corporation (NASDAQ: ANGN) today introduced the Medical Graphics Platinum Elite™ Series plethysmograph. Based on the award winning Elite Series design, the Platinum Elite offers advanced functionality, ease of operation, precision, reliability and improved patient comfort. Designed for use in hospitals and doctors’ offices, the Platinum Elite is used to measure pulmonary function in the diagnosis of airway diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmoary disease (COPD), asthma, emphysema, allergies and other lung conditions.
The Platinum Elite incorporates several new features to improve diagnostic and on‐going disease management capability. The system can test pediatric through adult patients and the expanded seating space accommodates larger and tall patients wih virtually no weight restriction. The system’s advanced sensor technology is self‐monitoring, self diagnostic and auto‐adjusting to simplify system operation. New digital technology affords the maximum in accuracy, reliability, speed and serviceability.
